Panshan Scenic Area: Strengthening the management of operational order and fostering a positive festive atmosphere.

Author:

To further strengthen the order of tourism operations at commercial stalls within the scenic area and ensure civilized, honest, and standardized business practices, in accordance with the unified arrangements and deployment of company leadership and in line with the requirements of the “Pan Shan Scenic Area Mid-Autumn and National Day Golden Week Work Plan,” on September 19, 2023, a joint enforcement inspection team—led by the responsible deputy director of the scenic area and comprising representatives from the Pan Shan Police Station, the Guanzhuang Market Supervision and Administration Office, the Company’s Safety Management Department, the Law Enforcement Team, and the Scenic Area Safety Management Department—conducted a special inspection of the operational order at all commercial stalls in the area (including those at Taling, Wansong, Lianhua Ancient Cave, Lianhua Ridge Mountain Products Market, and the temples), as well as pre-holiday workplace safety. The findings of the inspection are as follows:

1. The three temples ensure electrical safety and safe incense‑burning practices, with no unauthorized or haphazard wiring. Incense burning is supervised by designated personnel. Monks on duty are strictly prohibited from engaging in coercive sales or forced donations when visitors offer incense or make contributions.

2. Officer Huang Haibo of the scenic area police station reminded temple administrators that, upon the arrival of visiting monks or lay practitioners seeking temporary lodging, they must promptly report to the police station for verification and registration, thereby ensuring the safety of tourists in the scenic area.

3. The scenic area requires all commercial stalls to operate in a civilized and trustworthy manner. First, each stall must display its business license, food business license, and health certificate in a prominent location prior to the holiday. Second, all goods for sale must be clearly priced. Third, all commercial stalls are strictly prohibited from selling hot water to tourists, and any mocking or abusive behavior directed at tourists who have not yet made a purchase is forbidden. Fourth, each stall must ensure proper electrical safety, fire prevention, hygiene, and food safety, working diligently to create a safe, civilized, and harmonious tourism environment throughout the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays.

4. “Pan Shan Scenic Area Civilized Business Guidelines” have been distributed to merchants within the scenic area to encourage them to embrace the principle of “honest and ethical business practices” and to help foster a positive image for the site.
