At present, the scenic area has entered the winter forest fire‑prevention period. To further strengthen forest fire‑prevention efforts this winter and next spring, enhance the capacity to respond to sudden forest fires, and improve the practical capabilities of the forest fire‑fighting teams, Yuyang Ecological Company conducted a joint comprehensive forest fire‑prevention and suppression drill at the scenic area on November 17. 
Pre-Exercise Briefing Meeting
Prior to the drill, Yuyang Ecological Company placed great emphasis on winter forest fire prevention. It convened both a Party Committee meeting and a mid-level management meeting to make arrangements for forest fire‑prevention efforts this winter and next spring, stressing the need to assign clear responsibilities, intensify safety patrols, and ensure that fires are properly managed and accountability is firmly established. The company also committed to fully implementing the principle of “prevention first” along with early‑warning and response measures, so as to ensure timely prevention and effective emergency response. In addition, it strengthened the forest fire‑fighting team, conducted regular inspections and maintenance of firefighting equipment, and organized training sessions and practical drills on forest fire‑prevention knowledge, further enhancing the unit’s firefighting capabilities.

With the announcement of the exercise’s commencement by Comrade Gao Wenyi, Chief Commander of the Yuyang Ecological Company’s Forest Fire Prevention Command, the scenic area’s firefighting team promptly deployed to the “fire” site, armed with firefighting equipment, and conducted a tiered, hands-on fire suppression drill.
The exercise encompassed simulating an on-site fire, activating the emergency response plan, issuing commands, and conducting on‑scene emergency operations, all carried out swiftly, seamlessly, safely, and in an orderly manner. During the drill, firefighting personnel employed specialized equipment, including backpack blowers, to effectively extinguish a pre‑set “fire,” enabling participating officials and staff to master the practical skills and key procedures.
In recent years, Yuyang Ecological Company has placed great emphasis on forest fire prevention in its scenic areas, continuously strengthening organizational leadership, ensuring accountability at every level, refining relevant systems and emergency response plans, establishing dedicated fire‑prevention teams, procuring equipment such as high‑pressure water pumps, wind‑powered fire extinguishers, and unmanned aerial vehicles, installing additional surveillance systems, and reinforcing human, physical, and technological safeguards. The company has also carried out robust public awareness campaigns and training programs, conducted thorough hazard inspections, and strengthened coordination with relevant authorities, thereby effectively preventing forest fires and other safety incidents.
Through this exercise, the company’s employees have further enhanced their awareness of forest fire prevention, mastered the procedures outlined in the fire‑response emergency plan, and honed their skills in operating firefighting equipment. As a result, their capacity to prevent forest fires and respond effectively to emergencies has been substantially strengthened, enabling them to “detect early, report promptly, and extinguish quickly,” thereby striving to nip forest fires in the bud and safeguard both the scenic area’s forest resources and the safety of people’s lives and property.
