At 9:30 a.m., amid lion dances, song-and-dance performances, and other traditional folk acts, the Opening‑Mountain Festival officially kicked off. A series of captivating shows—including “Qianlong’s Mountain Tour,” presented by faculty and students from the School of Dance at Tianjin Media College, and the richly evocative Xinjiang‑style dance “The Call of Antiquity”—offered visitors a vibrant feast of folk culture, bringing the opening ceremony to a thrilling climax. On the day of the event, tourists flocked to Panshan, admiring blossoms and checking in among the spring‑time mountain streams, basking in nature’s lively spring atmosphere, and savoring life’s simple joys.

This year’s Panshan Mountain Opening Festival runs from April 3 to April 6. During the event, visitors can enjoy springtime scenery, watch thrilling performances such as lion dances, face-changing acts, and acrobatics, and savor popular street foods from across the country, along with time-honored delicacies like Yipin baked pancakes, “Pinxiangyuan” fermented bean curd, and Sangzi bean crisps. To make it easier for the public to explore, the scenic area has launched online live streams, allowing visitors to tune in via platforms like Sina’s “Trendy Tianjin” and the Zhizhi Jizhou app, so they can experience the spring beauty of attractions such as Sanpan Evening Rain, Tiancheng Temple, Wansong Temple, and Guayue Peak—all from the comfort of their homes.
At the opening ceremony, the governments of six regions—including Tongzhou, Tangshan, and Jizhou—jointly signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on Co‑building the “Jingdong Golden Corridor,” establishing a strategic partnership that fosters complementary collaboration, mutual benefit, and pioneering, pilot‑based coordinated development. Meanwhile, Beijing Olympic Park, Hebei Yesanpo Scenic Area, and Tianjin Panshan Scenic Area jointly initiated the establishment of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei Strategic Special Committee, which aims to enhance market influence and competitiveness through platform building, brand cultivation, and efficient integration. In addition, COFCO Coca‑Cola Beverages (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. and the Jizhou District Tourism Association signed a strategic cooperation agreement to leverage cultural and tourism resources and promote industrial synergy, thereby advancing high‑quality, integrated regional development.
At the opening ceremony, the launch of the “Hello Tianjin, Meet Panshan” online short-video contest was also held. Hosted by the Publicity Department of the Jizhou District Party Committee, the event will be promoted and entries solicited through the JinYun new-media platform. Visitors can participate by tagging the two hashtags “#HelloTianjin” and “#MeetPanshan” on short-video platforms, with an expected pool of no fewer than 10,000 submissions. Meanwhile, the Panshan Scenic Area in Tianjin, in collaboration with the China Calligraphy and Painting Newspaper, hosted the launch of the “Encountering Panshan—Exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Masters’ Calligraphy and Paintings” series, offering a comprehensive showcase of the achievements in integrated cultural and tourism development.
