[Know Panshan, Love Tianjin] Over 3,000 students and teachers from five secondary schools in Tianjin have come to Panshan for a study-and-exploration trip!
Author:

Study-travel programs inherit and further develop China’s traditional educational ethos of “traveling to learn” and the principle of “reading ten thousand books and traveling ten thousand miles,” embodying a rich humanistic spirit. They have emerged as a new component and innovative approach to quality education, helping to enhance primary and secondary school students’ self-reliance, creativity, and practical skills.
As the May Day holiday approaches, a group of more than 3,000 teachers and students from five schools—Tianjin Nankai Middle School, Tianjin Bali Tai No. 2 Middle School, Nankai High School, Nankai School, and Tianjin Xinzhuang Middle School—visited the Panshan Scenic Area today for an educational field trip. Amid a natural and relaxed setting, students explored local history and culture, learned about science and technology, and gained insights into the region’s geographical and geological features, immersing themselves in an outdoor classroom while receiving patriotic education.

Learn joyfully and connect with nature.
“Knowledge gained from books alone always feels superficial; true understanding comes only through hands-on experience.” Field study is a classroom on the move—when textbook knowledge meets real-world exploration, it becomes vivid and deeply meaningful. Students and teachers alike agreed that this activity was highly engaging, broadening their horizons and enriching their learning.
