Don’t you, too, have a long list of dream destinations, yearning to find a peaceful haven at the edge of the bustling world—perhaps by gliding across a lake, scaling a lofty peak, or gathering with a few close friends to savor tea and wine? Amidst verdant fields, under the warm sun, and in the gentle breeze, you can simply embrace the present moment and heal your soul.

Come on—let’s head to Panshan for the May Day holiday! All you need is a pair of comfortable shoes and a relaxed state of mind. Stroll at your own pace, pausing now and then to admire the lush, ancient trees on the mountain. A gentle breeze sweeps through, carrying with it a subtle fragrance of blossoms. From afar, the flowers seem half in bloom and half already fallen. And when you reach the summit and look back, amid the faint, lingering chants of Buddhist sutras, there you stand, proud and free amidst the towering peaks—what boundless joy!

The entire scenic area is open: March 16 – November 15,

7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.;

Some road sections are open: From November 15 to March 15 of the following year, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., during the forest fire prevention period, the scenic area is open only as far as Wansong Temple.

Operating hours for the Panshan Cable Car and sightseeing buses: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Note: 1. All cable cars will undergo maintenance every Monday morning and will be out of service. (Except on statutory holidays.) 2. The official operating hours are subject to the latest announcements from the scenic area.

Beijing direction: Take the Airport Expressway–Jingping Expressway–Pan Shan exit, and drive directly to the Pan Shan Scenic Area.

Tianjin direction: Jinji Expressway—Exit at Panshan; direct access to the Panshan Scenic Area.

Northeast: Take the Beijing–Shenyang Expressway, then the Tianjin–Ji Highway, and exit at Panshan. From there, proceed directly to the Panshan Scenic Area.

By train:

From Beijing East Railway Station in the Beijing direction, take bus route 11, a tourist express line, directly to Panshan.

From Tianjin North Railway Station toward Tianjin, take bus route 11, a tourist express line, which goes directly to Panshan.

By car:

From Beijing: Board at Beijing Sihui Coach Station and alight at Jizhou Coach Station, then transfer to Bus Route 11, a tourist shuttle, which goes directly to Panshan.

Beijing–Panshan Direct Service: Starting April 3, a daily one-day tour route from Beijing to Panshan will be in operation. Departure point: Beijing Dongzhimen Transportation Hub. Contact number: 010-83531111.

From Tianjin: Board at the Tongsha Passenger Transport Station in Tianjin and alight at the Jizhou Passenger Transport Station. Then transfer to Bus Route 11, a dedicated tourist line, which goes directly to Panshan Mountain.

Tianjin–Panshan Direct Service: Starting April 3, Tianjin Bus Route 188 will run directly to Panshan, departing at 7:30 a.m. daily and returning to Tianjin at 4:30 p.m.
