At 6:00 a.m. this morning, April 18, accompanied by a crisp whistle, the 2026 Tianjin–Jizhou Panshan Trail Race officially kicked off on the plaza in front of the Visitor Center at the Panshan Scenic Area. Three thousand trail-running enthusiasts from across the country gathered to embark on this exhilarating, culturally rich event, using their footsteps to explore the graceful beauty and grandeur of “the First Mountain of Jingdong” and to showcase the unique charm of the “Garden of Beijing and Tianjin.”

Panshan has long been renowned as the “Number One Mountain of Eastern Jing,” and Emperor Qianlong once remarked, “Had I known of Panshan earlier, why would I have needed to journey south?”

Today, runners will weave through towering peaks and serene waters, passing by ancient Zen monasteries and time-honored temples. The course links mountain trails, walking paths, and secluded forest lanes, offering a picturesque vista at every step—each mile a work of art—while you savor the graceful elegance and majestic grandeur of Jizhou’s landscapes.
