To warmly welcome the Mid-Autumn Festival and celebrate this joyous occasion, and in order to further promote China’s fine traditional culture and foster a vibrant festive atmosphere, Pan Shan Scenic Area hosted a series of “Welcoming the Mid-Autumn Festival” events on September 29, 2023.

Every year on the Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrating the holiday alongside visitors has become a cherished highlight of Panshan Scenic Area. To ensure everyone enjoys a delightful Mid-Autumn experience, the scenic area has thoughtfully prepared an array of mooncakes in diverse flavors, sharing them with guests and fully embracing the season’s festive spirit.

Everyone enthusiastically shared, “I never expected to receive mooncakes just by coming here for a trip—so happy!”

During the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays, China Post teamed up with scenic areas in the Jizhou region to launch a postcard‑themed cultural‑creative stamp‑check‑in event, further enhancing visitor engagement and experience.

The land is endlessly beautiful, and our bond transcends mountains and seas.

As night fell, the large-scale, real‑world landscape performance “Tianxia: Panshan” opened to the gentle, melodious strains of music. The production draws on folk legends about Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty’s 32 visits to Mount Panshan, along with select historical records and the region’s rich tapestry of mythological tales, bringing to life the timeless bonds of loyalty and affection between ruler and subject.

The emotional conflicts of the principal characters, their agonizing choices between patriotic devotion and personal feelings, the tumultuous ebb and flow of their inner lives, and the grand, sweeping stagecraft all come together to form a breathtaking, panoramic landscape painting. The performance was a relentless series of climaxes, met with sustained cheers and thunderous applause.

The performance “Tianxia: Panshan” will run from September 28 to October 6.
