In the green fields, the moon lingers; on a clear day, clouds appear and vanish in fragments.
Swallows still flit here and there, while the blossoms have already scattered in profusion.
The Spring Equinox is the fourth of the Twenty-Four Solar Terms, falling between the Beginning of Summer and the Beginning of Spring and marking the midpoint of spring.
The vernal equinox holds significant astronomical importance: on this day, the Sun shines directly over the equator, resulting in equal lengths of day and night in both hemispheres. From this point onward, the Sun’s direct rays shift northward across the equator, causing daylight to exceed nighttime in the Northern Hemisphere, while the opposite occurs in the Southern Hemisphere.
Climatically, there are also distinct characteristics: after the spring equinox, most regions enter a bright and sunny spring.
The spring equinox is also a crucial time for agriculture; after this date, winter crops enter their growing phase, and spring field management, plowing, and sowing are about to reach their busiest period.
During the Spring Equinox, traditional Chinese customs include flying kites, eating spring greens, and balancing an egg upright.
At the spring equinox, warblers flit and swallows dance in the gentle breeze, and with spring’s arrival, fragrant blossoms bloom everywhere.
On the mountain, peach blossoms greet the spring breeze with a smile, unfurling boundless beauty and poetic charm.
The peach blossoms bloom first, heralding the warmth of spring.
Who wouldn’t gaze upon such radiant beauty?
Strolling along the winding paths of Panshan, one sees rows of peach trees in full bloom, their pink and white blossoms mingling in a delicate, vibrant display. Some buds are still shyly closed, while others burst open boldly on the branches, as if vying to reveal spring’s enchanting charm to the world. A gentle breeze sweeps through, setting the petals dancing and scattering them in a riot of color, making it feel as though one has stepped into a dreamlike fairyland. As the mountain trail winds upward, the sweet fragrance of the peaches fills the air, leaving the heart refreshed and at peace.
Standing atop the mountain and looking down over the entire range, one sees patches of peach blossoms scattered among the green hills and clear waters, their delicate hues set off by the rolling peaks, the verdant trees, and the babbling streams—creating a series of breathtaking springtime scenes.
In this delightful season, let us step into Panshan, admire the peach blossoms, savor the essence of spring, and immerse ourselves in its poetic, picturesque beauty.
