The fragrant feast of roasted lamb fills the air on Panshan Mountain! The 2025 Panshan Roasted Lamb Festival kicks off with great enthusiasm!

On the evening of July 25, the “Summer Sheep Feast: Seeking the Flavors of Jizhou” 2025 Panshan Scenic Area Summer Sheep Festival grandly opened in the plaza in front of the ticket hall of the Panshan Scenic and Historic Area. Present at the event were Qin Chuan, Chairman of the District CPPCC; Han Yixin, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and Head of the Publicity Department; Zhang Ruigang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the District State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission; Yu Xiaofang, Director of the Jizhou District Integrated Media Center; Song Weilong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the District Culture and Tourism Bureau; Zhang Zhengang, Secretary of the Guanzhuang Town Party Committee; and others. Gao Wenyi, Party Secretary and Chairman of Yuyang Ecological Company ， Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Yuyang Ecological Company Rong Zucheng , Cui Yanhai, Deputy Minister of the Publicity Department Leaders and distinguished guests will attend the event, jointly ring the ceremonial bell to officially launch the “Fuyang Festival,” and present residents and visitors with a summer cultural‑tourism extravaganza that seamlessly blends gastronomy, culture, and entertainment.

This year’s Fuyang Festival is guided by the Publicity Department of the Jizhou District Party Committee and the Jizhou District Culture and Tourism Bureau, and organized by Tianjin Yuyang Ecological Construction and Development Co., Ltd. According to reports, the event will run for 10 days, concluding on August 3, with the aim of leveraging “Fuyang” as a cultural bridge to deepen the integration of culture and tourism, stimulate nighttime consumption, and further enhance the visibility and influence of the Panshan Scenic Area.

Highlights from the Opening Ceremony Event

At the opening ceremony, as the leaders struck the ceremonial gong, professional performers staged a highly ritualistic sheep‑opening ceremony, officially kicking off the Fuyang Festival. This was followed by a succession of captivating performances, including traditional Chinese‑style dances and band shows. Renowned domestic bands and singers presented themed concerts such as “A Night of Classic Nostalgia” and “A Night of Rocking Passion,” while well‑known female singer from mainland China, Gege, … Champion of the Avenue of Stars, Ji Youyong, along with other artists, took to the stage to perform popular hits such as “Flame” and “Girl,” engaging enthusiastically with the audience and earning round after round of applause. District leaders also conducted an on-site inspection of the market’s various venues, experiencing the event’s signature activities.

According to reports, the Fuyang Festival is open to residents and visitors daily from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The event venue is divided into a stage area and a main hall, with 500 sets of seating accommodating up to 3,000 people. It also features 50 food and beverage stalls, three cultural‑creative markets, and 1,000 parking spaces, ensuring a comprehensive and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

This year’s Roasted Lamb Festival is a multi‑dimensional feast of taste, sight, and culture: expert lamb‑roasting masters prepare whole roasted lambs on the spot—crispy on the outside, tender within—paired with savory lamb offal soup, grilled lamb chops, and other delectable lamb specialties, offering visitors a true culinary delight. More than a hundred specialty snacks, including Mongolian kebabs, Changsha stinky tofu, and marinated seafood, are also on offer, providing a one‑stop destination to satisfy diverse palates. The daily event runs from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and residents are invited to head to the Panshan Scenic Area plaza to soak up the summer’s vibrant energy.

Multiple departments join forces to ensure the smooth running of the Panshan Roasted Lamb Festival.

To ensure the event’s safety and orderly conduct, multiple departments—including public security, emergency management, market regulation, health, and fire services—have coordinated to develop a dedicated security plan and contingency response protocols. Security personnel have been deployed to maintain on-site order, while measures have been put in place for traffic management, food safety oversight, medical support, and reliable power and communications services, guaranteeing visitors can enjoy themselves with peace of mind and eat safely.

This year’s Fuyang Festival is not only a key initiative for Panshan Scenic Area to build a distinctive cultural‑tourism brand, but also a vivid example of Jizhou District’s efforts to invigorate the nighttime economy and drive consumption upgrades.
