The 2025 “Jinjiu Group Cup” Tianjin–Jizhou Panshan Trail Race has concluded in triumph!

On the morning of May 25, the 2025 “Jinjiu Group Cup” Tianjin–Jizhou Panshan Trail Race kicked off with a starting gun at the Panshan Scenic Area in Tianjin. The event was guided by the Tianjin Municipal Sports Bureau, hosted by the People’s Government of Jizhou District, Tianjin, and organized by the Jizhou District Sports Bureau of Tianjin and Tianjin Sports Development Co., Ltd., with support from Tianjin Yuyang Ecological Construction and Development Co., Ltd. and Nanjing Shanpao Sports Technology Co., Ltd. It aims to leverage off-road sports as a bridge to showcase the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Jizhou, while fostering the deep integration of national fitness initiatives and sports tourism.
On the day of the opening ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Jizhou District Party Committee and District Mayor Zhang Jianyu, Deputy Director of the Tianjin Municipal Sports Bureau Wu Weifeng, Deputy District Mayor of Jizhou District Government Xu Xiangguang, Vice Chairman of the Jizhou District CPPCC and Director of the District Sports Bureau Chen Ping, Second-Level Inspector of the Tianjin Municipal Sports Bureau Wang Xin, Second-Level Inspector of the Tianjin Municipal Sports Bureau Chen Xi, Director of the Industry Division, Tianjin Municipal Sports Bureau Gao Quancun, Party Secretary of the Jizhou District Sports Bureau Sun Weiguang, Deputy General Manager of Tianjin Jinjiu Group Co., Ltd. Leaders including Geng Weihua attended the opening ceremony and jointly sounded the starting whistle to kick off the competition.
This event featured two categories—41 km and 24 km—drawing numerous trail-running enthusiasts from across the country to Jizhou. Participants measured the grandeur and serenity of the mountains and wilderness with their footsteps, ignited their passion for the outdoors, and showcased the unique charm of the “Garden of Beijing and Tianjin” to the world.
The event will be held in the Tianshan Scenic Area of Tianjin, renowned as “the First Mountain of Eastern Jing,” where forest coverage exceeds 90%. The race course winds through the scenic area’s core zone, offering a uniquely diverse landscape: towering, rolling mountains; steep, dramatic peaks; and ancient, solemn temples. Lush vegetation thrives amid alpine heights, historic monasteries, deep canyons, crystal-clear springs, and cascading waterfalls—each element interwoven to paint a grand, majestic yet delicately graceful natural tableau. By seamlessly blending the rugged majesty of northern mountain terrain with a thousand years of cultural heritage, the organizers have crafted for participants a one-of-a-kind experience: “a new vista with every step, a moment of insight with every stride.”
The journey is long, yet trail runners press on with unwavering resolve. With agile strides, they scale towering peaks and rugged ridges, charging toward the finish line and etching a glorious chapter on the mountainous course through sweat and sheer determination!
After a tense and fierce competition, the Chinese athlete Zhao Hu with He won the men’s 41 km division with a time of 3:51:07. Zhang Sheng and Zhang Jiao, respectively with 3:53:42 and They took second and third place with a time of 4:01:41.
The women’s champion of the 41 km category is a Chinese athlete. Zhang Ting, with a score of 4:33:46. The silver and bronze medalists were Chinese athletes, respectively. Wang Dayu and Ma Ting, the scores are as follows: 4:42:35 and 4:51:42.
Chinese athlete Zhang Juemin with He won the men’s 24km race with a time of 2:22:11. Wang Yihao and Hou Jiayong, respectively with 2:29:57 and They took second and third place with times of 2:32:52.
The winner of the women’s 24km race is a Chinese athlete. Lin Xuefei, with a score of 3:02:45. The silver and bronze medalists were Chinese athletes, respectively. Lao Yumei and Wang Hua’s scores are as follows: 3:06:03 and 3:13:55.
The medals for this event take the cultural essence of Panshan as their design motif, encapsulating the trail’s challenges and the region’s rich heritage within a compact form—paying tribute to every act of perseverance and serving as the most cherished memento of the off-road journey.
This event adheres to a “runner‑centered” philosophy, leveraging cross‑departmental collaboration and meticulous operations to establish a comprehensive support system, ensuring participants enjoy a professional, safe, and warmly supportive race experience.
Multiple aid stations are strategically positioned along the course, offering runners an ample supply of water, energy drinks, energy gels, and other replenishments to help them maintain peak performance. Additionally, 130 volunteers and 14 professional medical personnel provide round-the-clock safety support throughout the entire event.
To allow participants to fully savor the unique charm of this event, the organizers have meticulously curated a diverse array of ancillary activities, crafting an immersive race experience. Ten themed booths—featuring gourmet delights, a pop-up post office, and more—have made a striking appearance. At the “Xingtai De Distillery Baijiu Brewing Process” booth, the aroma of liquor fills the air as intangible cultural heritage masters demonstrate time-honored distilling techniques, letting runners soak in Jiuzhou’s thousand-year-old wine culture with a gentle buzz. The Panshan pop-up post office offers a creative twist, enabling participants to turn their trail-running journey into postcards to send far and wide. Meanwhile, at the “Pinxiangyuan” booth, where handmade fermented bean curd and Guanshan Li‑style sesame‑paste eggs are crafted on the spot, mouthwatering aromas draw crowds; attendees can both observe traditional craftsmanship and sample authentic local flavors, recharging their energy after the race.
These themed booths, showcasing Jizhou’s intangible cultural heritage, local cuisine, and rich人文heritage, serve not only as windows for cultural exchange but also offer participants an immersive experience of “running while exploring, savoring and reminiscing,” turning post‑race downtime into another enchanting journey to uncover the unique charm of Jizhou.
The 2025 “Jinjiu Group Cup” Tianjin–Jizhou Panshan Trail Race has concluded in triumphant fashion! More than a test of speed and endurance, it was a profound dialogue between nature and culture.
