Recently, it was announced that the Panshan Red Leaves Festival will open on the 19th of this month at the New Mountain Gate Square in the national 5A‑level scenic area of Panshan. During the 32‑day festival, the scenic area will team up with major Tianjin travel agencies to offer discounted tickets priced at just 99 yuan per person. Visitors will also be able to ride complimentary tour buses to explore the Panshan Scenic Area and enjoy the stunning autumn scenery.
Panshan Scenic Area boasts breathtaking scenery and a profound cultural heritage, making it a renowned tourist destination in North China. Each year in late autumn, fiery red maples and staghorn sumacs, golden five-pointed maples and golden‑leaf locusts, along with lush green pines and ancient trees, transform the entire area into a kaleidoscope of colors. Clusters of colorful foliage are scattered among the verdant pines and cypresses, grow in dense stands along the stone steps and pathways, or dangle from steep cliffs. Strolling through this vibrant landscape leaves one utterly enchanted, reluctant to leave.
According to reports, this Pan Shan Red Leaf Festival is themed “Admire the Hometown’s Red Leaves, Enjoy Pan Shan’s Scenic Beauty,” and will run from October 19 to November 20. At the opening ceremony, a large-scale reenactment titled “Qianlong’s Tour of Pan Shan,” a square-dance competition, and a variety of vibrant cultural performances will be staged. While hiking and admiring the red leaves, visitors can also immerse themselves in a rich array of cultural activities and savor a unique travel experience.
