Pan Shan Natural Scenic and Historic Site Protection Zone: Notice on the “Green Shield 2018” Special Campaign

In accordance with the requirements of the “Notice on Jointly Launching the Tianjin ‘Green Shield 2018’ Special Campaign for Supervision and Inspection of Nature Reserves,” issued by the Tianjin Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, the Marine Bureau, the Forestry Bureau, and the Construction Commission, and in order to effectively carry out the self-inspection and rectification work within the Panshan Natural Scenic and Historic Site Protection Area, the relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:
Resolutely investigate and address newly emerging illegal and non-compliant activities within nature reserves, with a particular focus on mining (including quarrying) and sand extraction, industrial and mining enterprises, as well as tourism development and hydropower projects—activities that have significant impacts on the ecological environment—and on human activities that have been newly introduced or markedly expanded since 2017.
To ensure the orderly implementation of self-inspection and rectification efforts, we welcome oversight and reporting from all sectors of society.
